New Holiday Photographs
10:50 PM - Mon 3rd Jul 2006

In the last couple of months I've visited both the West and East coast of Britain, experiencing some of the rugged coastline that makes this isle so beautiful. Check out the photographs of Anglesey and Northumberland in my Gallery and see for yourself.

Opera Tools v1.0 Released
03:50 PM - Sat 30th Apr 2005

Opera Tools I've developed two tiny Windows applications that compliment and enhance the functionality of the Opera webrowser. The first is an ad-blocker that integrates with Opera's built-in filtering method (known as the 'filter.ini' file). It adds simple one-click blocking of images from within Opera and supports wildcard matching.

The second adds a simple way of changing on a per domain basis the user agent string that Opera 8 identifies itself as (ie. which browser it tells websites it is). You can now simply choose whether you want Opera to be IE or Mozilla (or whatever) via an easy one-click method that integrates simply into Opera's right-click menu. Now all those awkward sites with dodgy javascript detection can be made to work in Opera thanks to UA spoofing.

Both tools come in a tiny 35Kb zip file and can be downloaded from here.

Opera 8 Released
03:08 PM - Sat 30th Apr 2005

Opera Website
The best browser just got better with the release of Opera 8. Featuring a more streamlined UI and advanced rendering techniques it is simply the most advanced, complete browser around. So, why not use this opportunity to spend a night with Opera? Hey, the fat lady might even sing too...

October Updates
09:57 PM - Wed 6th Oct 2004

Full Of StarsSo, the nights are getting dark, but relax with some musical space-dust I've conjured up. Yes, that's my convoluted and pretentious way of saying I've finished a new track. It's called Full Of Stars and mixes rock, electronica and the HAL 2000 computer system. Check it out on my MP3 page or over on my ZeD site.

If that doesn't chill you out then you can always head over to my gallery and nosey at some new photographs I took over in Windermere, in the beautiful Lake District area of Cumbria. Hey, it's almost like being there yourself...
