- DocTech's Malstrom Tutorial The best Malstrom tutorial on the net. 'Nuff said.
- Dorum Malaia Doru is famous in Reason circles for his dodgy beard and also his great selection of free, quality refills. No collection is complete without these :)
- Guitar Sound Collection Vol 1. Want to rock out on Reason? They you have to have this awesome guitar sample refill. What's more it's free!

- AT&T Text-to-Speech Converter Converts text into Stephen Hawking like speech patterns. Great for weird samples, especially if you vocode them. I'm serious!
- Awe32 Sounfonts Cool FTP server chocked full of soundfonts. Tons of stuff to play with here.
- BreakBeat Paradise Cool home-grown site devoted to collections of free breakbeats, samples and loops. A bit of a poupouri, but you'll usually find something here!
- Cobweb Audio Samples Quite sparse but contains a few goodies, including some acapellas
- Free Sound Project The Freesound Project is a collaborative database of Creative Commons licensed sounds. Freesound focusses only on sound, not songs.
- Hammersound One of the best collection of Soundfonts on the net. You won't be disapointed :)
- HQ Samples Most famous for it's collection of rare acapella samples. You need 'em, they've got 'em :)
- Kiarchive Soundfonts Russian FTP site that looks a bit dodgy but never-the-less has lots of soundfonts up for grabs ;)
- Loops 4 Free Directory of free loops, samples and sounds.
- Loops Net Great portal site that contains links to loads of sample sites. You could spend weeks browsing all the links :)
- Phat Drum Loops Awesome collection of break beats and old vinyl samples. Sample rate is quite low, but don't let that deter you.
- Pocket Fuel Awesome sample site that contains lots of commerical-quality free samples in both .wav, .mp3 and .rx2 format. Only snag is you have to sign up, but that's free, and it's worth it.
- Splendid Grand Soundfont A brilliant, free grand piano soundfont available in either a 72MB or a wopping 132MB format.
- Wav Search Engine Useful little search engine for finding wav files. Great for turning up weird stuff :p

- Crystal VSTi Modular Synth Crystal is a semi-modular VSTi software synthesizer featuring both subtractive synthesis and frequency modulation (FM) synthesis. Very good, and free!
- CyberFree Sampler Polyphonic multi-timbral sample player for Massiva and VST host applications
- Delay Llama Delay Lama is the first VST-instrument to offer both vocal synthesis and a real-time animated 3D interface. This is very cool!
- dmi Flute A physical modelled flute 'capable of producing some wicked multiphonics.'
- GalactiX Synth A 16 voice polyphonic subtractive virtual VST Synth.
- Klangformer Ninja Synth 'Professional' virtual analogue synth VSTi. With a cool name.
- Krakli Software Synth & FX Plugins The brilliantly named Krakli Software offer a wide range of VSTi Synths and VST FX, including quite a few that are totally free. Highlights include the horror-film inspired The Gargoyle and the unqiue interface of the RGB Synth, whose tones are generated by RGB colour values.
- Lin FreeAlpha Polyphonic Synth The FreeAlpha features a subtractive design with special attention being paid to recreating the warmth and feel typically found in early-1980s analog synthesizers within the most modern music production environment.
- LoopAZoid Simple sample player VSTi that's a 'joy to use'.
- Manytone 3S Sampler A 24 voice polyphonic sample player VSTi.
- MDA E-Piano An electric rhodes piano from the MDA boys. Great for free!
- Muon Atom The Muon Atom is a simple and compact two-oscillator polyphonic synthesiser plugin. Very good.
- NovaKill VSTi Synth Two free VSTi synths, one mono and one polyphonic.
- Onkot: Percussion Synthesizer A freeware VSTi Plug-in for PC. Inspired by a modern classic silver/carmine red electronic beatbox, Onkot is a 4 part DSP synth and 5 part sample playback synthesizer.
- The DirectX Files Comprehensive directory of free and commercial DirectX audio plugins. Very handy.
- Triangle I & II Two great freeware synths - one mono and one polyphonic.
