INSTALL NOTES FOR OperaAdBlock.exe

1.	Unzip the file you downloaded using any standard zip software package.

2.	If you do not have the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 installed then download it from:
	http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=262D25E3-F589-4842-8157-034D1E7CF3A3

3.	Copy the file OperaAdBlock.exe to where you wish it to reside on your hard-drive.
Note it does not need conventionally installing so you can place it anywhere you like.

4.	Before you can use OperaAdBlock you must first create a file called 'filter.ini' and
place this in your Opera profile directory.
If you are unsure of where your profile directory is open Opera and go to
the Help > About Opera menu entry.
Under the Paths directory you should see an entry called Opera Directory and a path
	- this is where your profile folder is.

5.	I have included an example filter.ini file in this package. You can use this and copy
it to your opera profile directory.

6.	In your profile directory should also be another file called Opera6.ini
Open this file with a text-editor (notepad will do) and scroll down until
	you find a section called:

	[Adv User Prefs]

At the bottom of the [Adv User Prefs] add the following entry and save:

	URL Filter File=/path/to/your/profile/folder/filter.ini

Change the path so it's the same as your Opera profile folder
(ie. the same as the one the filter.ini file is in)

7.	Now Opera should be configured to block entries that appear in this file.

8.	Next open the included menu.ini file with a text editor and search through it
for the phrase '-- EDIT BELOW --'
When you find this please edit the line BELOW so that the paths are correct.
Note the first path should point to OperaAdBlock.exe and the second path
should be the one to your filter.ini file.

9.	Once edited copy your new menu.ini file to the menu folder inside your Opera profile folder.
(If you already have custom menus then just copy the relevant parts).

10.	Start (or restart) Opera and then go to Tools > Preferences > Advanced > Toolbars and
choose 'Opera Extended Menu' from the menus list.

11.	Now try right clicking on any image you see in a webpage in Opera.
You should now see an option called 'Add To Block List' appear on the right-click context menu.
Choose it and up should pop OperaAdBlock.
To block the selected image simply click the 'Block' button.
Note you can use * as a wildcard which means 'match anything'.

12.	The next time you restart Opera the image will be blocked
(occasionally you may need to clear your cache for this to take effect).

	for OperaAdBlock.exe
