Diplo Designs
This section of the site is devoted to stuff I've designed. OK, to be honest, it's a random selection of miscellaneous items that I classified under the rather pretentious title of 'Design' as it sounded good :)
First up are a couple of galleries of CGI art I made using Adobe Photoshop and/or Discreet's 3D Studio Max (like the rendered head to the right). Some of these are just strange, surreal landscapes whilst others were designed for a particular purpose (such as art to accompany my music tracks). I don't claim to be a great artist, but the images do show the possibilities of creating 'virtual' art using the power of the home PC.
Web Design
As you might have gathered I'm involved in the groovy, cutting-edge world of web-design. However, I'm not actually a designer by trade - my forte is providing the back-end programming to web sites rather than designing them. Still, I do like to have a bash at designing as well, and in this section you can check out some of the websites I've been involved with. If you ever need a website creating I'm always available at very reasonable rates :)

Programming
Here I've made available a few handy little routines and utilities you might find useful :
- Opera Tools - An AdBlocker and a User Agent editor for the Opera Browser written in visual C#
- Email Address Encoder - this little program will convert your email address into HTML character entities, which will make it harder for spammers to automatically trawl it from your webpage. It also generates a JavaScript version which is even more secure. Just type in an email address and cut'n'paste the resulting code into your website.
- Quote Of The Day - this is a small function I wrote in PHP that parses a quotation from an RSS feed. In fact, it's the same one that I use on my home page. Whilst there are other RSS parsers around, I tailored this one to be as fast and efficient as possible. It's configured so that it only queries the RSS server once a day, using a cache file that's updated automatically updated every 24 hours.
UT Map Design
I've also tried my hand at making a DeathMatch map for Epic's online first-player shooter Unreal Tournament.
